Finding senior executives to fill critical roles is about far more than just filling the job spec. Cultural fit is critical in terms of both how an executive gets along with your team, but also whether the opportunity is the right fit for both you and them in terms of where your company is in its life cycle. A high growth scale up business and a mature business are very different environments in terms of how structured the work environment is, the nature and method of engagement with various stakeholders and the balance between fixed and variable remuneration. In short, a candidate who is an excellent fit in one environment may not be a great fit in another environment and vice versa.
